Hardest Thing this Year

The hardest thing for me this year was watching the ending to avatar. I started watching the series 6 years ago when I was 9. The series has 2 stories; Aangs story and Korras story. Korras story is the continuation to Aangs story, 2 generation after. This is one of the of my favorites show because it’s smart (even though it’s childish), entertaining, and because I’ve watched it for very long.

In the show an avatar can control all of the elements and their mission is to bring balance to the world. Towards the end of the series the main character feels that no matter what she does the world will never find balance and starts to question her place in the world. The actual ending of the show comes when Korra stops a fascist conqueror trying to “unite” the nation. Even she stops the fascist conqueror she still feels like there is a lot more for her to do as an avatar, but she decides to take a rest of all the madness and go rest in the spirit world with her best friend. This leaves us with a very open ending.

Due to the fact that this series ends with a very open ending, I started to feel like the ending wasn’t very pleasing. There is something good and bad with the show ending prematurely. It´s bad because it could have had a more finite ending that could have been more elaborate. It´s good because since the workers didn’t get as much episodes done as promised they´re going to release another of Aangs series which I’m very excited for.
